Argentina Down and Out, Dec. 2001 – March 2003

December, 20 th, 2001. Argentina is in bankrupted. It’s difficult to imagine what it means. During more than one year, our correspondent, Valério Bispuri, followed the evolution of this crisis in Buenos Aires and other provinces of Argentina, in order to be able to put images and words on this disaster. A bankrupted country, it is 50 % of the population (36 millions) which lives below the poverty line, marches and violent demonstrations nearly every day, 22 % of unemployment and a currency devaluated with more than 70 %.
