The road leading to the waterfalls is an exercise in itself. By the end of it, one has to go through a cave protected by the four statues representing the guardian of the temple. Only the ones with a Zen spirit will be allowed to pass. Behind this gate, the scene of the waterfalls appears in front of the monks.

La route même qui conduit à la cascade ressemble à une sorte de chemin initiatique. Il faut passer par une grotte protégée par quatre statues représentant les gardiens du temple. Une fois cette étape franchie, la cascade s’ouvre enfin devant les moines qui s’y entraînent hiver comme été. La cascade est le symbole du renouveau de la vie.
