After the dinner the monks keep the rests of their bread to put it into a specific basket. It is a sign of economy but as well of a traditional religious one, as it is considered a sin wasting the bread. In this way they collect the remains of the bread, which will be baked, afterwards on toasts as accompaniment to the beverages.

Après le dîner les moines gardent les restes de leur pain pour les mettre dans un panier spécifique. C'est un signe d'économie et aussi une tradition religieuse, puisque le gaspillage du pain est un pêché. Ainsi, ils rassemblent les restes de pain pour les griller au four et les utiliser en toast pour accompagner les boissons.
