The Father Chrisostomos is carrying wood. Because of the lack of electricity and modern means of transportation, the most part of the duties are achieved with the hands. Wood is a basic element for the monks' survival because wood is the essentia combustible for heating during the cold winter. The temperature goes easily below zero degrees Celsius. They also use the wood for cooking.

Le père Chrisostomos transporte du bois. A cause du manque d'électricité et du manque de moyens de transport modernes, la plupart des tâches sont effectuées manuellement. Le bois est un élément essentiel pour la survie puisque celui ci est le combustible principal pour chauffer le monastère pendant l'hiver. Les températures descendent facilement en dessous de 0°. Ils utilisent également le bois pour la cuisine.
